Beef Skewers in Venice

Y'all, my family and I made the drive from Northeast Los Angeles (Highland Park) to Venice Beach in under 30 minutes. We left at 11:30 am on Sunday and the whole thing felt miraculous. It probably felt that way because it was a spontaneous idea floated by my daughter 20 minutes prior.  

We made a stop at Whole Foods Market on Lincoln Boulevard to grab some pre-marinated skewers and beers, because we are lazy. Once we arrived at Venice Beach, we set up our Penny Grill for an effortless beachside BBQ.

I find it very relaxing to slowly grill meats while watching my kids frolic in the waves and as far away from me as possible. Just be careful they don't kick sand on the grill as they're approaching you for a hug, because you might reflexively push them into the sand on accident.

But on the real tho, keep a Penny Grill on hand, because you never know what last minute thing you might get into! Until next time...
